We had so much fun at this year's first installment of Belfast Summer Nights. The Hips were very gracious about J storming the stage and they gave a great performance. They even did two Cibo Matto songs (Not Birthday Cake, but I'll post a link to this video anyway, because it's fantastic).
Our Town Belfast posted this photo on facebook. That's J and her friend parked right at the singers' feet.
Dancing in the street is so much fun! J was a little wound up -- no nap that afternoon, which always makes for a wild time in the evening. She was already dancing when the band did their sound-check. She had a blast. And fell asleep in the car on the way home, so thank heavens some friends were smart enough to bring pizza, and she had dinner there. Next time we'll bring a picnic, too.
And next time is sooner than I thought it would be. This Thursday, June 30th, The Bel-Isle Trio is playing at Heritage Park. That should be loads of fun, too.
